The Buckland Rec Looks Forward to a Full Season of Fun!
The Buckland Select Board has approved the fees for the 2026 season and membership passes are now available for purchase. A day pass to the pool allows you to come and go for the entire day. When comparing the cost of various forms of entertainment (movies, bowling, a round of golf, etc.) the rate to use the pool continues to be a great value.
These fees cover the costs of two lifeguards and one pool attendant who are required to be on site while the pool is open. Additionally, a recreation director and certified pool operator are necessary to oversee the safety and operations of the facility. Rounding out the costs are monthly water testing (DEP required), electricity, chemicals, trash removal and upkeep of the area (including opening and closing costs each season). It has always been the goal to keep pool passes as affordable as possible, but we must balance the membership fees with the operating costs.
We are pleased to offer two sessions of swim lessons this summer (10 classes per session).
Additionally, we are excited to announce the return of adult water fitness classes. These will also be offered in two sessions (16 classes per session).
Don’t forget about our amazing Pavilion that is available to rent for your party, family reunion, wedding or other occasion. The area is under cover and has fully accessible restrooms, and a dumpster available as part of the rental. Additionally, the ball field, basketball/pickleball court are yours to use along with corn hole boards, a beautiful fire pit (weather permitting) and seating area with outdoor lighting.
Please contact Liz Cerone at the Buckland Town Hall (AssessClerk@town.buckland.ma.us or 413-625-6330) to purchase pool passes, sign up for swim lessons or water fitness classes and to rent the pavilion.
