PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE TOWN OF BUCKLAND

The Town of Buckland will hold a Public Hearing pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 40A (“the Zoning Act”), Section 5 on February 7, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Buckland Town Hall, 17 State Street, Buckland, MA. The purpose of this Public Hearing is to provide interested parties with the opportunity to comment on the proposed revisions to Buckland’s Zoning Bylaws. These changes will address Adult Use Recreational Marijuana and include: - adding a new Section XV: Adult Use Recreational Marijuana Establishments; - proposed revisions to Section 4-3 Table of Use Regulations to address Marijuana Retail Stores, Marijuana Product Manufacturing, Marijuana Microbusinesses, Marijuana Cultivation and Marijuana Independent Testing Laboratory or Research Facility; - proposed revisions to Section 4-2 Limit on Principal Structures to allow a residential land use and licensed marijuana cultivation to occur on the same lot if a Special Permit is granted; - adding a new Section 4-7 Performance Standards for Small Scale Marijuana Cultivation in the Rural Residential, Village Residential and Village Commercial Districts; - proposed revisions to Section II Definitions to address Marijuana Establishments; and - adding Marijuana Establishments to Section XII Site Plan Review. The complete text of the proposed Zoning Bylaws revisions is on file with the Town Clerk at the Buckland Town Hall, 17 State Street, Buckland, MA and is available for inspection during the regular business hours of the Town Clerk.
