Notice of Public Hearing -- Revisions to Zoning Bylaws

Information Session -- Short Term Residential Rental bylaw proposal

Buckland Planning Board

The Town of Buckland Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at  Buckland Town Hall, 17 State Street. The purpose of this public hearing is to provide community members with the opportunity to comment on the proposed revisions to Buckland’s Zoning Bylaws. 

The proposed revisions to the Zoning Bylaw include the following changes:

  1. Update and revise Section VII, Floodplain District Bylaw. Changes include new recommended text  and updated mapping to keep floodplain insurance current, and the appointment of a Floodplain Administrator.
  2. Amend Section 8-4 (c), Other Regulations. Clarification of period of time permitted for living in trailer or recreational vehicle before review by Zoning Board of Appeals is required for extended use.

Following the hearing will be an information session on the current draft of proposed Short-term Residential Rental bylaw. A Public Information Session draft is available as mentioned below.
