The triangular plot, a steep, central and strategic location between Depot and Conway St is at the heart of Shelburne Falls, will provide cyclists and visitors with a spot to rest with a few amenities.

This currently inaccessible steep piece of land would be converted into a gathering and viewing destination and garden. Its implementation converts strategic and underused tract of land into a lasting worthy destination and serves as a manageable next project bolstering and celebrating community pride.

This new public space would contain a much-needed covered pavilion for picnicking, gathering, small events, viewing and rain and sun shelter.  As a neighborhood link, the proposed spiral stairway to Depot Street and the historic Railway Freight Yard and Salmon Falls businesses is strategic and will provide superb views of the Deerfield River and surrounding hills.
