Hazard Mitigation Plan Public Forum

Public Forum on Buckland Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan

Buckland’s public works and public safety officials and representatives from Town boards and committees, with assistance from the Franklin Regional Council of Governments, have updated the Town’s Local Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Plan is used to identify threats and risks to the community created by natural hazards and exacerbated by climate change, such as flooding, wind, extreme winter weather, drought, and invasive species. Included in the Plan are action items and long-term strategies to reduce the impacts of disasters on people, property, infrastructure, and the environment.

There will be a public forum to review and accept comments on the Plan on Tuesday, September 15, at 5:30 PM. The forum will be held virtually via zoom. All are welcome to attend.
